Cora Roberts Obituary

LAUREL - On Dec. 18, 2013, Cora left this earth to be with her husband, Bus. Cora was born on Dec. 23, 1918, to Earl and Ione (Frasier) Linger on Coombs Flat, south of Molt. She was the oldest of all the children. She graduated from Park City High School and attended Billings Normal School. Cora married the love of her life E.L. (Bus) Roberts on April 26, 1940. They had one son, Dennis.

Cora worked at JC Penney's in Laurel for many years in the office. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Big Sky Rails. Cora enjoyed going to the Senior Centers in Laurel and Park City to visit with friends and play bingo.

Cora resided at The Crossings in Laurel for three years and made many friends to socialize with over coffee, tea and cookies and playing Wii bowling and bingo.

Cora is preceded in death by her husband, Bus; sister, Thelma Williams and her husband, Merrit; brothers, Lloyd Linger and his wife, Evelyn, Roy Linger and his wife, Audrey, and Russell Linger.

She is survived by son Dennis (Roxy); granddaughters Andrea (Duane) Herinckx and Mandi (Tim) Bastian; great-grandchildren Dylan, Raya and Braydan; sister-in-law Louella Linger and brother-in-law Joe Clasen; also, by John and Sandy Leichner, Sarah and Alysia Friedt, Isaak, Darek; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Cora's life will be Monday, Dec. 23 (her birthday), at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Laurel, with Internment at Sunset Memorial Gardens-Billings immediately after service.
