David Goosen, 92, of Billings, formerly of Glendive, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007.
He was born in Marion, S.D., on April 11, 1914, the son of Gerhard and Gertrude Goosen. In 1941, he married Gladys Buller. Upon retiring from farming, they moved to Glendive, where he worked for the school district as a bus driver. At this time, he became involved in the work of the Gideons and remained a member until his death. In 1989, they moved to Billings and he spent many hours in his workshop, creating heirlooms for his family.

To this union was born eight children: Roger (Sue), Milbank, S.D.; Charlotte (Ron) Buller, Lincoln, Neb.; Lavona (Larry) Brown, Denver; Patty (Willie) Yoder, Billings; Laura (Leonard) Miller, Homer, Alaska. Two daughters and one son preceded him in death. He was blessed by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. No flowers, please. Memorials can be made to the Gideons or Eastern Montana Bible Camp.
Services are planned for Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m., at Faith Chapel, Billings. Memorial and burial at Bethlehem Mennonite church in Bloomfield will be held at a later date.
