LAUREL - On Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, our beloved David was tragically taken away in an automobile accident. He was loved very much by many.
He is survived by his two daughters, Danielle and Stevie; his love, Nancy; brother Duane; step-mom Noreen; and grandchildren, Jaxon and Karsen. David was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and an amazing friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Plattner; mother Mary Briggs Plattner; along with both maternal and paternal grandparents.
David E. Plattner, was born in Butte on May 4, 1967, to Dale and Mary. He enjoyed taking yearly river raft trips with his friends at the Laurel Eagles No. 2564, of which he was also a member. David was very outgoing and could make anyone who met him laugh and smile. He loved going fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his daughters and grandkids.
David enlisted with the U. S. military and was in field artillery for 14 years before being honorably discharged.
He went to work for the state of Idaho, the state of Montana and then worked in underground construction for Stillwater Mine for the past seven years.
He will be greatly and dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of having him in their lives. We all love him and he will be forever in our hearts. None of us could ask for a better guardian angel to be with us.
