Gary Ryan Obituary

Gary Franklin Ryan was born in Billings, MT, on June 12, 1945, to Shirley and Jack Ryan. He attended schools in Billings and graduated from what is now the University of MT. He soon settled in Kalispell where he appraised properties, was affiliated with Glacier Bank and once led one of its branches.

He was interested in photography and had more than ample beauty in the Flathead Valley to explore. He enjoyed hiking and skiing in the early days.

He married Pamela Duchesneux from Butte in August 1985. Her brother, Ferd, and his wife Rose have been instrumental in lovingly facilitating the life changes for both Pam and Gary.

Gary is survived by Pam; his sister, Cathy Bower and his nieces Cristin Markovich (Bob) of Billings, and Caralee Bower and her son, Wiley of Vashon, WA. He was a wonderful brother, a kind man and a good father figure. We all benefited from his patience, sense of humor and gentle guidance. He will be greatly missed.
