Jeffrey Zinne Obituary
Jeffrey Neil Zinne
July 26, 1987 - March 12, 2025
It is with great sadness that we mourn the unfathomable loss of Jeffrey Neil Zinne of Billings, MT on March 12th, 2025, at the age of 37.
Jeff grew up in Park City, MT causing mayhem and mischief, always keeping the local law enforcement on their toes. He graduated from Park City High School in 2006 and began working at New Day Ranch where he helped mentor youth in need. It was always an importance for him to instill into others that their obstacles in life would not define their success. Jeff then went on to work at Montana Air Cartage, a local family-owned logistics company, where he was a route driver for over 10 years. In 2021 Jeff took over the company and became CEO. He held so much pride in his work and he worked tirelessly to lessen the burden on those around him. He always saw the good in people and was not a stranger to giving second chances. Jeff was so much more than a boss or an employer. He wanted to be a friend and ensure that everyone was enjoying what they did. Even with the weight of the world on his shoulders he still made time for what was most important in life, his family, his friends, and his passions.
Jeff was a friend like no other and he would do anything to see you exceed in life and lift you up when you're down. He had such an infectious zest for life and adventure that drew you to him. He provided unwavering support to his friends, whether it was for their businesses and endeavors, going for drives to reset and reconnect, or just talking over some good beers. Even acquaintances that didn't get to meet him in person have said that they always considered him a friend, it's just how he made people feel.
Jeffrey and Meghan met in 2007 as he was friends with her brothers. Against their will, Jeff and Meghan began dating and the rest was history. Jeff and Meghan had a sought-after love. The kind only dreamt about. They were always together and at the end of the day it still was not enough time. Meghan put her nursing career on pause to help Jeff take over the family business in 2021, something she will always be thankful for as it gave her so much more time with him. They were best friends, soulmates, and would have celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this summer, and 18 years together.
In 2022 Jeff and Meghan welcomed their son Ronin into the world. Jeff was the best "dada guy" who wanted nothing more than to show Ro the world. He had so many dreams and plans for his son, with countless adventures ahead them. Jeff would constantly state that Ronin was his greatest accomplishment in life, and he wanted nothing more than for his son to be proud of him. Ronin has Jeffs striking blue eyes and handsome good looks and carries on the legacy of "Mini Zinne."
Jeff had many passions and hobbies over the years, it was hard to keep up with them all. The two most important being his love for Japanese classic cars and taking drives to the mountains. To much of Meghan's despair, Jeff could never pass up a "deal" and would tell her that you can't have a car collection without cars. His 71' Nissan Skyline that he has been restoring for over 10 years, with the help of many friends, was set to be completed this summer. Jeff sought adventure whenever he got the chance. You could find him somewhere in Stillwater County in his RHD Toyota Prado up in the mountains finding his escape and peace. Nye was his favorite and they had plans to build a cabin there one day.
Jeff is survived by his wife Meghan, son Ronin, frenchies RJ & Bob, aunt Tami Pinnow, mother and father-in-law Autumn & Wade Kiernan, Brother in laws Ryan and Chad, honorary mother Janis Richardson (WA), best friends that became family including Alan Gray, Tommy Ames (WA), Jacob Fox, and so many more.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father Jeff K Zinne, Grandparents Joyce & Spike Zinne, and Aunt Linda Cass.
To say that Jeff will be missed is an understatement. The void of losing him will be present in our lives forever as he was larger than life. He had an inspiring outlook on life, he was passionate about many things and didn't let life get in the way of doing the things he enjoyed.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers please support your local communities and businesses, live each day like your last, love big, and always take the back roads.
