He was born on Feb. 6, 1977, the eldest son of Ernest Holds The Enemy Jr. and Danetta Half-Holds. He was a member of the Bad War Deeds Clan and was a child of the Big Lodge. He received two Indian names. He was originally named iiluubaàpasiitchiik "Has Good Friends" by his great-grandpa Hugh Little Owl, who proceeded him in death. He was renamed iichiik baassee' "Front Runner," by his uncle Kenneth Plenty. He was a member of the Catholic and Native American Church. He loved singing and tying drum with his boys and his friends.
