Joshua Lesnet Obituary

On Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, Joshua left this life to start another life with our Heavenly Father. He did not go alone, his brother Zak went with him. It gives us some comfort to know they didn't have to make the journey alone.

Josh was born at the University of Iowa in Iowa City on Jan. 10, 1981 to Billie Rae Miller and Terry Wayne Lesnet. He was the first born, the first grandchild and the pride and joy of his family.

Josh grew up in Billings. He lived life to the fullest, always willing to try everything at least once or more. He enjoyed running, fishing, old style martial arts, being pit crew for a racing boat, but his favorite past time was hanging out with his family. He always believed his family came first. He was the rock, the protector, best friend, big brother, the comforter, and his proudest accomplishment was becoming a father. Kayne William Lesnet is his pride and joy. He is the reason Josh was working on becoming a Master Electrician, so he could take care of his son and family. He was always trying to take care of everyone and if you were Josh's friend, he would go above and beyond to help you.

There are no words to describe what Josh meant to family and friends. He was an awesome son, best big, big brother, most loving father and one of the best friends that anyone could ask for. Josh made it a point to stay in contact with everyone he cared for. He will be missed so much and always remembered for the strong determined man he was.

He is survived by his son Kayne William Lesnet, his best friend and greatest admirer; his Mom Billie R. Miller; sister Sarah; brothers Casey and Bud all from Billings. Terry Lesnet his father from Iowa, and step-father Rob Steffans, Jr., special friend Mark Schumaker and little brother Markie of Billings. Grandmother Shirley Lesnet of Iowa, Grandmother Carolyn Shandy of Roundup, Uncles Jack Shandy of Billings, David Shandy of Utah, Todd Shandy of Minnesota, Aunt Tracy of Iowa and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews, and special friends who have had their lives touched by Josh.

He was preceded in death by his aunt Sherri; Great-Grandparents Zella Turley and Lynn Miller and cousin Jessie who were all waiting to embrace Josh when he arrived. Josh, you have made an impression in our hearts and lives that will live forever. We will always love you.
