Ruby Kelling, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Billings Clinic surrounded by her family.
Ruby was born to Glenn and Myrtle Petersen Powell on June 11, 1943, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Ruby grew up in Fountain, Colo. and graduated from Fountain High School in 1961. Ruby married Gary Kelling on Dec. 16, 1961, to which they had three wonderful boys, Kevin (Terry), Wade (Tabitha) and Kurt (Tami). Grandchildren are Tiffany, Joshua and Tanner.
Ruby devoted most of her life and career working with adults with disabilities. She worked for COR Enterprises for 28 years and retired in June of 2006.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Myrtle Powell; older brothers Darrel and Donald and a brother-in-law Jim Gaston.
Ruby is survived by her brother Jack (Betty) Powell of Fountain, Colo.; sister Ruth Ann Gaston of Reno, Nev.; brother Gary (Jeannie) Powell of Tangent, Ore. and sister-in-laws Jody and Ruth Powell of Fountain, Colo.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery, 29 8th St. West. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 13th St. West and Crawford Dr. in Billings. Cremation will follow services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to COR Enterprises, 200 S. 24th St., Billings, MT 59101.
