On Nov. 14, 2001, Wayne and Stacy (Wiese) Block were blessed with a gift from heaven, Aspyn Remar. Aspyn was a beautiful baby girl who never failed to make her mommy and daddy very proud. She touched the hearts and souls of all who encountered her. Even total strangers were drawn by her angelic aura. Her sweet smile and bright blue eyes, which twinkled like stars, lit up every room.
Even though she was diagnosed with a metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction at five months old, her radiance never faded. Aspyn's strength kept her parents going. Aspyn passed away on July 15 at St. Mary's Childrens Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Aspyn is survived by her parents, Wayne and Stacy; her grandparents, Beverly Block Bismarck, and Paul and Brenda Wiese, Mandan; her great-grandpa, Irv Bauer, Turtle Lake; her aunts and uncles, Candace (Mike) Hanson, Rhonda Block, Lorie (Shawn) Samson, Rick (Tina) Block, Sean (Christine) Wiese, Scott (Lori) Wiese and Steffany Wiese; and her cousins, Carissa, Tiffany, Jacob, Trever, Kelli, Carter, Danielle, Logan, Zachary, Tristan and Jackson.
Aspyn was most recently preceded in death by her grandpa, Myron Block; and her great-grandparents, Eunice and Milton Bradford and Dolores Bauer. (Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn)
