Kyle Leidholm
Kyle Leidholm, 56, Garrison, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at the Garrison Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 15 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison. Burial will be at the Garrison City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.
Kyle Eugene Leidholm was born March 27, 1965, in Bismarck to Kenneth and Audrey (Jesser) Leidholm. He was raised and educated in Garrison. On June 5, 1998, Kyle married Nancy Betz of Garrison. They built their home and family in Garrison. Kyle welcomed his four children, Jessica, Ashley, Ben, and Clayton, into the world over years.
Kyle started out with various jobs. He worked painting water towers, worked as an oil field surveyor, and built the coal conveyor that used to run over Highway 83 near Underwood. Twenty-six years ago, Kyle started his own company, Lakeside Contracting. Six years ago he was joined in his business by his son Benny.
Kyle had many hobbies! From bowling, hunting, fishing, to working on his many projects. He was a hotrod fanatic, especially when it came to Pontiacs, as you could tell by looking in his shop. Above all though, he loved being "papa" to his six grandchildren.
Kyle is survived by his wife Nancy, Garrison; father, Kenneth, Garrison; daughters, Jessica (Justin Myers, children, Urijah and Taylor), Towner, Ashley (Nate Leal, children Emmet and Rowan), Fargo; sons, Ben (Ariel and children, Theo and Alaina), Garrison, and Clayton (Shelby), Fargo; three brothers, Kevin, Greenbrier, Ark., Allan, Kemersville, N.C., Kelly, Garrison; mother and father-in-law, Allen and Melinda Betz, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Leidholm, sister, Tammy Leidholm, nephew, Kevin Leidholm, and his maternal and paternal grandparents, sister-in-law, LeAnn Leidholm, and his close friends, Galen Kastner, Dave (Kid) Sayler, and Tony Benfer.
