Aunt Alice, I have such wonderful and loving memories of you and what you did for me the times that I took care of you at your home. It was a special time in my life and you bestowed all of your love as well as family memories upon me, as I was drinking in all that I was able to hold.
WOW, young lady, what an experience I had with you and I will ALWAYS be so grateful for you allowing me into your home to help you. I was humbled and honored to be there and I thank you so much for the life-changing experience that you so selflessly gave me! I love you and I will see you again!!!!

Aunt Alice, you gave me a wonderful gift when I was taking care of you!!! You see, I had no idea about this calling that God had on my life until I was with you. I remember talking to God one night and letting Him know of my fears and not knowing whether I was really helping you or hindering you. Well, the next morning as I was bathing you, you spoke these words to me: "I am so glad that it's you taking care of me and I wouldn't want anyone else here, because you are so gentle with me, you encourage me, you pray with me, and you pray for me, and you make me feel so good the way you loving take care for me". I started crying at that time and you didn't understand and you asked me why I was crying and I told you about my conversation with God the previous night and then you understood and so did I. I was right where God wanted me to be during this season in my life and I couldn't have been any happier!!! I love you, Aunt Alice and I will see you in Glory!!!

Aunt Alice and my mom, Joyce were always, even as kids very close and did crazy and strange things together! I saw so much of my mom in Aunt Alice during the time that I took care of her for several months last year and it was beautiful to see.
We had some great talks about her and my mom along with the rest of the family and she missed James and Angel something fierce! She and I would talk about those two kids each day we were together.
I had so much fun taking care of my Aunt and I don't regret being there when she broke her arm nor during a much more trying time later in the year. If I had a chance to have a do-over, I wouldn't change one iota of our time that was spent growing together!
Aunt Alice, I love you more than my mere words can express and I will see you in Glory, one day!!!!
Blessings!

In the late 60s while Dudley was deployed Alice and I spent a lot of time together. We would go bowling and my fondest memory was Alice trying to steer the ball after it was released as though she had a steering wheel in her hands.

A wonderful sister in law. Someone who had to have children around. Alice couldnt be happy if a child was in need. Grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were what kept her going. Heaven is a better place now.
