HENDERSONVILLE-Cheryl Lynn Burt, born Feb 1, 1956 in Pontiac Michigan, resident of Hendersonville for 32 years, laced up her winged shoes to climb the mountain of Heaven Thursday, March 20, 2014.
Cheri's passions included her love for animals, history, being outdoors, camping, cooking and expanding her knowledge in everyday life. Worked for Selee Corp. for 31 years.
Family not embarking on her journey include, her mother Allyn Burt, father Barry Burt, of Hendersonville, Sister Laurie Whelan and nephew Ben Whelan of Hendersonville, Brother Greg Burt, wife Tracy, nephews Brenden Selfridge, Nathan Selfridge, Parker Burt, nieces Leah DePeel and son David DePeel. Brother Steve Burt, Wife Mary, nephew Neil Burt, nieces Monaca Parks, Judy Shepard and, great nieces Hanna Shepard, Kaitlyn Marsh, countless family, friends and co-workers and loving animal companions Rocky, Heidi, tri-pod and Gracie.
Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Pastor Wally Shamburger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to www.humanesociety.org, www.nationalbreastcancer.org or any charity of your choice.
