Zach was a family friend of ours since he was in elementary school. I will always remember his amazing sense of humor and kindness. He was one of those rare people you meet in life who would have you laughing every moment you spent with him. His passing has deeply affected our family and he will never be forgotten. I have thought of him and the family every day since his passing. Condolences to go Kim, Scott, Anna, and Zach's wife, especially, as well as the rest of his family and friends.

As a fellow graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, the loss of this valiant soldier so willing to serve his country hits home. This town is so proud of SFC Zachary Bannister! His loss is felt deeply here as people who do not even know him are lowering flags in their yards out of respect and sadness. My heart and prayers go out to his beautiful wife and his entire family.

To the Bannister family, please know that the loss of Zach is not in vain. Freedom does not come without a price. Lord please let us not take for granted the many liberties we enjoy in America, for they have all been earned through the ultimate sacrifice of our brave Service Men and Women like Zach Bannister. My condolences, I hope that your family is able to find peace at this heartbreaking time.
