Aaron Davis Obituary

Aaron Benjamin Davis, 89

Aaron Benjamin Davis passed away on April 30, 2025, at his home in Sagle, Idaho, from complications of dementia.

He was born in Sagle on May 31, 1935, to Luther and Mattie Davis.

He went to Algoma grade school and graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1953. He was drafted into the Army in 1958 and was stationed in San Francisco and Soul Korea. He was discharged in 1960.

Aaron had a dynamic personality and a great sense of humor. He never knew a stranger.

He married Roberta Wood in 1962 sharing 62 years together and raised three sons. He was strictly a family man.

He was a clearing contractor for Northern Lights and the Forest Service before taking up logging which he pursued until retirement. He liked to work and liked the work he did.

He enjoyed bowling, bass fishing, cribbage and pinochle and hanging out with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; sons, Mike (Pam) Davis of Auburn, Washington, Wayne Davis of Sagle, and Chad (Milissa) Davis of Sagle; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Parker, Ben, and Sydney; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; a sister, Juanita Sterritt of Spokane, Washington; and a brother-in-law, Del Wood of Sandpoint. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mattie, and brother Clarence.

A special heartfelt thank you to Bonner Community Hospice for their exceptional, care, guidance, and grace in assisting with care during Aaron's final days.
