David Ivy Obituary

David Ivy, 71

November 3, 1953- July 14, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Ivy.

David and his family moved to Sagle ID in 1982. He worked locally as a framer and a drywaller. And finished his working years at All About Chimneys.

He was an avid outdoors man, most of all, a fisherman.

Lord how that man loved to fish and be at his second home, Captn's Table in Garfield Bay.

He was also a member of LPOIC.

David was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen, his niece, Chrys Lynn. His brothers Brad & Gary and brother-in-law, Sam.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy Ivy. His son and daughter in law, Brian & Jen Ivy.

Daughter, Joanna Ivy and grandchildren, Cruz & Catalina.

His parents, Dora & Troy Johnson.

His brothers, Donald Ivy & Tory Johnson. His sisters, Roxanne, Susan (Dan), Karen Ivy & Tralyn (Ken) Murray. And many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in David's name to Community Cancer Services of Sandpoint.

Our family would like to thank all the friends and family who have helped and supported all of us this past 5 years.

There will be a celebration of life Saturday September 6th at Garfield Bay Park. It will be a potluck, starting at noon.

Please come and share stories, laughter and tears.

David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
