Kenneth Gardner Obituary

Kenneth Earl Gardner

May 24, 1947-March 19, 2025

Ken was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He retired to Sandpoint, Idaho. He was living in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was a patient of the Mayo Clinic when the Lord called him home.

He was a Vietnam veteran and a proud Marine. Ken worked for the city of Chicago Bureau of Electricity as a foreman.

He married Jacqueline Morgan on March 9, 1996. They celebrated 29 years as a loving husband-and-wife team. He had a great love for travel, especially with Jackie by his side.

He loved gardening and built a beautiful pond on his property in Sandpoint, in addition to laying 2,400 square feet of hardwood flooring-a wood floor that made him proud. He enjoyed visiting antique shops and got a thrill out of finding "treasures." He was a beautiful and emotional man who remained happy despite the hardships life handed him. He never complained and was a true warrior.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, two sons, a daughter-in-law, two stepdaughters, their husbands, and seven grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and his ashes will be laid to rest in a niche at St. Joseph's Catholic Church columbarium in Sandpoint, Idaho, alongside his wife's ashes when she transitions.

God bless Ken Gardner.
