Marceline Buechner Obituary

Marceline Buechner, 94

Marceline Fay Buechner, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Sandpoint, Idaho. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Sandpoint with a graveside to follow at the Pack River Cemetery.

She was born on February 28, 1931 to Hoyt and Mary Sayre in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. She was the fifth child of twelve siblings. Marcy grew up in West Virginia, until she moved to Southern California with one of her sisters and brother-in-law. There, she met her future husband, Robert Buechner, Sr. They got married on August 20, 1948 in Yuma, Arizona.

Marcy raised three children, Claude, Marrietta, and Robert Jr. In 1961, the family bought a place in Cocollala, Idaho, then moved in 1968. Marcy loved being with her family.

Marcy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; her parents; her eleven siblings; her daughter, Marrietta; and a great-grandchild, Zoie.

She is survived by two sons, Claude (Jenny) Buechner and Bob (Sally) Buechner of Sandpoint, Idaho; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
