Charlotte Marie Verts Harvey

CHARLOTTE MARIE HARVEY Charlotte Marie Verts Harvey walked into the loving arms of Jesus on October 4, 2025. She was born at her homeplace in Billingsville in August of 1935 to John Roger Verts and Eda Stabler Verts. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1953. She married Henry C. Harvey in Boonville in June 1957. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2006. Charlotte worked at McGraw-Edison Company for 15 years. In 1971, they purchased and operated a retirement home for 27 ½ years. They operated a rental home business from 1965 to the present. They engaged in farming from 1995 to the present time. Charlotte helped establish the Missouri Residential Care Association and served on the board for 18 years. She served on the Governor's Task Force to establish regulations for residential care in Missouri. She served on the Industrial Development Authority Committee (IDA) for the City of Boonville. She loved helping with music for churches and nursing homes in the area. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Brown (Charlie) of Warrensburg, MO, and a son, Steven Harvey (Kathryn) of Dallas, TX. She has 5 grandchildren: Rachel Carpenter (Zach) of Springfield, MO, Sarah Ray (Chad) of Warrensburg, MO, Ross Brown (Ciera) of Boonville, and Chase and Adam Harvey of Dallas, TX. She also has a step-granddaughter, Allison Brown of Fayette, MO. She has 7 great-grandchildren: Madelynn, Oliver, and Brooklynn Carpenter, Kaiden, Owen, and Ian Ray, and Phoebe Brown. She also has 2 step great-grandchildren, Haden and Maya Kelly of Fayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Emogene Myers. Services will be held at the Howard-Millard Funeral Home in Boonville on Saturday, October 11th, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00 am before the services.
