ADRIENNE LEVINE Obituary

LEVINE, Adrienne June Cherished Mother and Grandmother Adrienne June Levine (Falk), doting mother, beloved sister and cherished grandmother died on April 16th, 2022 in Wellesley MA. Adrienne was born on June 12, 1934 in New York City to Vivien and Richard Falk. She was raised in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. An honors student and later valedictorian, at age 16 she was admitted to Barnard College. A history major, she went on to teach, and ultimately became a docent at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami Beach, Florida. Her incredible storytelling, combined with her exceptional breadth of knowledge made her tours and lessons particularly noteworthy. Shortly after she moved to Wellesley, she continued her love of learning gave local lectures on the history of the English language, and the resettlement of the American West. Adrienne had a deep love of adventure, and took over a dozen trips all over the world throughout her dynamic life. In her early 70's, she climbed Machu Picchu, a trip she loved to remember and compare to her other travels, which included sailing the Yangtze River and touring Israel. Her love of travel was only surpassed by her love for her family. Since 2018, Adrienne had been living in Wellesley, close to her daughter, grandchildren and treasured grand dogs; it was a blessing to the family. After living in Florida for over 40 years, she embraced New England living through her love of Nantucket, eating fresh oysters and fried clams, and enjoying cheeseburgers at family barbecues. She was known within the family as "Nana," and soon extended family and friends adopted the nickname. She will forever be loved and missed. Adrienne was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Levine in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Caren Levine Stanley of Wellesley; sister Susan Falk Rapoport of Stamford CT; granddaughter Ashley Brooke Stanley (Kelly Dennehy) of Sherborn MA; and grandson Adam Delfiner Stanley (Wang Xi) of Newton. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lovin' Spoonfuls. Levine & Sons, Brookline

SALLY MEADOWS

June 7, 2022

Dear Susan and other family members,
I have such fun memories of Adrienne during her last several years in Florida. I spent several wonderful visits with her in her condo. We would share stories about our fathers and I learned some things about my dad from her.
I am sad to learn of her death .. I would have liked one more visit; as would we all .
With sympathy and love,
Sally
