You don't know me, but my family and I went through the same pain in September when my 16 month old healthy granddaughter died unexpectedly. She went to bed and woke up two hours later with a fever. Within the following two hours she was gone, and we are completely devasted. These sudden deaths are rare, but unfortunately, they occur, and the families are left to grieve and accept what happened. My thoughts are with you, your pain is shared, and I can only hope that with each passing day, our little angels are in a place with love, laughter, and peace. For us, a piece has been taken away, and we are hearbroken forever, left to lean on our faith and courage. Please know you are not alone, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Matthew and Janice…

It’s so difficult to adequately write these words. The sadness of losing Alex is unbearably heartbreaking. I will always cherish the memory of him at play. Alex seemed to be in perpetual motion with his brother Christopher; their creative high jinx would seem to always amuse their sister Catherine. Alex will always be remembered for his playfulness and smile. We have been blessed that he was a part of our lives and his joyous and loving spirit will be with us always. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Christopher and Catherine. With love and deepest sympathy...

Any time I ever saw Alex, he was smiling. Any time I ever talked about him with friends or co-workers, I could not keep myself from smiling or even laughing to myself. He was such a wonderful young boy and I only wish I had more time to spend with him as his cousin. I was shocked when I heard the news and I remain shocked to this moment. I have a strong belief that he is happy right now, however, and I also believe we will all see him again.
