DR. ALLEN STEPHEN KRIEGER

1941 - 2021

KRIEGER, Dr. Allen Stephen Of Lexington, passed away on January 2, 2021. Born in The Bronx in 1941, Al spent his childhood in Rockville Centre, NY, and lived in Cambridge, MA and Lexington, MA. Dr. Krieger received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Astrophysics from M.I.T. He was Senior Vice President at American Science and Engineering in Cambridge, MA, and then went on to found Radiation Science, Inc. He was a Fellow of the American Physical Society, consulted for NASA, the Department of Defense and other government agencies and authored numerous scientific papers. Al was an avid reader, who enjoyed the peace and quiet he found hiking and cross-country skiing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with his family. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jeanne Kann Krieger of Lexington, MA; his daughter, Sara Krieger Perry of Longmeadow, MA, his daughter, Ruth Krieger and son-in-law, Gary Monheit of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Rachel Perry and George Perry of Longmeadow, MA, his sister, Susan Krieger and brother-in-law, Art Judge of Newton, MA, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Al's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
