ANDREW MITRANO Obituary

MITRANO, Andrew Age 92 of Falmouth and Wayland, formerly of Woburn. The loving father of James Mitrano and his wife Laura of Brookline, Raymond Mitrano and his wife Susan of Wayland, and Angela Mitrano of Falmouth; the cherished Nonno to Julia, Luciana and Andre; beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; and dearest brother to Raymond of Woburn and Rosa of Italy. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy Mitrano; and by his sisters, Loreta and Elisa. Born in Gaeta, Italy, Andrew immigrated to Massachusetts in 1960, where he built his life, family, business, and ever-expanding collection of friends. Every person, to Andrew, was just a friend not yet met. He approached life with a sense of curiosity and humor and was ready for an adventure at a moment's notice. He could often be found in his garden or out fishing on Vineyard Sound, hobbies he enjoyed almost as much as he enjoyed sharing the bounties of his labors. Above all, Andrew relished the warmth and love of his family and many friends. A Service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 9, at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 475 Main Street, FALMOUTH, MA, followed by Interment at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in East Falmouth, MA. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Compassionate Caregivers Fund c/o Northbridge Companies, 71 3rd Avenue, Burlington, MA 01803.
