ANDREW SCHATKIN Obituary

SCHATKIN, Andrew J., Esq. Of Bayside Queens, NY, passed away on October 14, 2023 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Loving son of the late Amy (White) and Sidney B. Schatkin. Grandson of Frank Winthrop White. Devoted brother of Dr. Jane Hettrick and her husband Dr. William Hettrick of Little Neck, NY, and Assoc. Prof. Margaret Schatkin of Boston College. Also survived by many cousins. He received his M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and his J.D. from Villanova University Law School. Andrew was a scholar of law and theology and the author of books and many articles in these fields. Visiting Hours in the Lehman Reen McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave. (nr. Brighton Courthouse), BRIGHTON, on Wednesday, October 25th, from 1-3pm, followed by Funeral Service at 3pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be Monday, October 30th, in Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Ave., Valhalla, NY at 12pm. Andrew was a longtime member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bayside, NY, where Dr. Hettrick is the organist and Director of Music.
