To all my Morrison cousins,
It is so hard to loose your mother, no matter what her age, or yours...
I remember so well her beautiful voice singing at St. Clement's. May there be many happy memories to comfort you at this difficult time.
Much love, Ellen Leavis Harland and family.

Ma,
Would that I could have made the journey with you, but my time must wait, for I have not earned the journey that those who have served God so faithfully deserve. I will walk in your footsteps along the road and pray by the time my journey begins, that my feet might fill the footsteps you left behind to guide me. Right now, they are way too big for me. I have loved you all the days of my life. I miss your face. All my love.

We used to think how she had come,
Even as comes the flower,
The last and perfect added gift
To crown Love's morning hour;
And how in her was imaged forth
The love we could not say,
As on the little dew drops round
Shines back the heart of day.
. . . . . .
The morning-glory's blossoming
Will soon be coming round,-
We see their rows of heart shaped leaves
Upspringing from the ground;
The tender things the winter killed
Renew again their birth'
But the glory of our morning
Has passed away from earth.
. . . . . .
Earth! in vain our aching eyes
Stretch over thy green plain!
Too harsh thy dews, too gross thine air,
Her spirit to sustain;
But up in groves of Paradise
Full surely we shall see
Our Mother dear and beautiful
Twine round our dear Lord's knee.
. . . . . .
Mom,
I love you and may eternal peace shine upon you.

Grandma gave us lots of fond memories; birthday dinners at the Red Coach Grill, picnics at Look Park, Sunday afternoons watching the Sox and Golf, a memorable visit to Saratoga among others. Mostly, I am thankful for the gifts of her sense of humor and music that are still carried on generations later.
God Bless Grandma. Love David.
