VERHULST, Anna A longtime resident of Newton, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at age 100. Born in the Netherlands in 1922, Anna survived WWII in occupied Holland. She was a beloved member of the staff of MIT, having served as secretary to the University President and longtime office manager. She is survived by her sons, Anton H. Verhulst and his wife Susan, and Roelof Verhulst and his wife Betty. Also survived by grandchildren, Rebecca, Jacob and Samuel, as well as great-grandson, Asher. A Graveside Service will he held Tuesday, April 4th at 11AM in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting Hours will be Monday from 5-7PM at the Burke & Blackingotn Funeral Home, WEST NEWTON. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Scandinavian Living Center at https://www.slcenter.org/donations/ Burke & Blackington BurkeFamilyFuneralHomes.com
