Rabbi Wieder was a long time family friend and also my teacher. He was also the mohel of my oldest son for which he came to Philadelphia. He was a devoted husband to Sheva and she returned this to him. His memory and hers are important to me and an important part of my childhood.

I was (in a very small way) briefly a colleague of Rabbi Wieder's at Hebrew College, and very much appreciated his friendliness and his kindness to me.

Rabbi Wieder was the Rabbi in Boston, MA, whom Ritualy Circumsised me and so many other Jewish boys. I was the 2nd to last Ritual Circumsion that Rabbi Wieder performed...

I had also the honour, privlage and also the pleasure of knowing Rabbi Wieder personally as the years went by,as I grew in many more ways than one... and he inturn, imbued in me a love of Judaism and a love and reverance for G-d as well as a strong desire in striving to emulate him in how one should relate to one's fellow man regardless of his respective race, faith and creed...

Rabbi Wieder's passing leaves a big void in the lifes of those of us privalged to know him on so many diffrent levels...Myself included...

May Rabbi Wieder's Memory be a blessing and he should be a true Hevenly Advocate for all of us whom knew him and all of the Nation of Israel...

Rabbi Wieder was my teacher at Hebrew College. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful, inspiring teacher. He was a teacher who passed on not only knowledge, but his profound love of Judaism and Jewish texts. He also had a very sweet sense of humor and a very warm heart. He was simply put a lovely man, a true mensch, and I will always remember him that way.

Rabbi Arnold Weider, z"l was my teacher in the Hebrew College as well as to many generations of students. He was a dedicated teacher, and tried hard to increase the level of Yiddishkeit at the College, and ensuring that the College cafeteria was reliably Kosher.
He helped reinforce my lifelong love of Talmud study.
Rabbi Wieder was a mensch. A modest and truly nice human being.

Rav Weider was one of my teachers at Hebrew College in the late 50's and 60's. He was a wonderful teacher may he rest in peace-BDH.

The news of Rav Wieder's death brings back so many memories of his radiant joy, his humor, and his obvious affection for his students as well as for Torah. For me, he was the epitome of the values of Hebrew College: love of the Jewish tradition combined with intellectual depth and honesty, love of Jews, love of humankind, and a culture of Jewish learning never separate from the life of real Jews in the present time. I can hope to repay all he gave me only by giving all I can to my own students.

My family was saddened to learn of the passing of Rabbi Weider. He was a first-rate talmid chacham and scholar, a gentleman and a friend. HaMakom Yenachem Eschem B'soch Sha'ar Aveili Tziyon V'Yerushalayim.
