BARBARA DICKIE Obituary

DICKIE, Barbara (Sexton) 86, formerly of Arlington, MA, died Dec. 21, 2012 at Mountain View Community Nursing Home, Ossipee, NH. Graduate of Arlington High School in 1943. Worked at the John Hancock Life Insurance Company and later the Arlington Cooperative Bank. A devoted Christian, Sunday school teacher and leader of the Diaconate and Church Council at the First Baptist Church. Former Harvard Trust Company Teller and Chief Financial Officer for the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston. Loving wife of Rodman Dickie, Wolfeboro, NH, mother of Pamela Gore of Methuen, MA; Sara Buttrick and son-in-law John Buttrick of Bedford, MA; grandmother and sister of Claire Gibbons of Arlington, MA and Earl Sexton of Rochester, NY, predeceased by her brother Ralph W. Sexton of Arlington, MA. Burial is private. A memorial service will be held in Wolfeboro, NH at a later date. If desired, donations in her memory can be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, Tennessee 37214-0800, www.gideons.org. Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH is in charge of arrangements.
