Barbara and I became friends when we were in a book discussion group in the Boston area for several years. I was one of those people who had the good luck to enjoy her lovely Charlestown home. And I also had the opportunity to attend an opera in New York at the Metropolitan Opera after she had moved to Fort Lee.
What a wonderful person! She will be missed. My sincere sympathies to her family and all her friends, Catherine Mazza, Boston

I really miss Barbara. We played tennis every week
all year, enjoyed dinners out, garage sales, and our
Thursday nite "happy hours". I'm really sad to loose this good friend.

So many memories of Barbara, but the best are the trips she and I took for five years after my husband passed (Barbara's brother Phil). She would come from MA and we would head off after I picked her up at the airport in GA. She did all the mapping of routes and I would drive. We went to everything we found interesting - State Parks/president Carter's home town/ Caves/Waterfalls/small town festivities - and we even wondered into other states. We attended a golf tournament in my husband's name and learned that we were not so good at driving golf carts. She was there for her nephews' graduations and the wedding of our son. She will be missed - a learned, well traveled, thoughtful and loved lady!

Barbara was so much fun and so cool!
We taught in Boston together for many years.
Her traveling adventures would hold us spellbound whenever her coworkers got together. This picture says it all. A beautiful, intelligent, classy lady. Memories of Barbara will alway be admired and inspirational.
