A dear uncle to me and my kids, and the mayor of South Boston to all that knew him. He for me was the tie back to my happy childhood summers spent at the beach in Southie. I'll miss his stories and his love for us all.

I had the pleasure of working with Barry when We taught at English High. He was a hard working gentleman who exemplified what it meant to be educator. I for one will miss him and his infectious smile. Rest in Peace friend .

Condolences to Barry's Family & Friends.
We both attended Christopher Columbus HS and I reconnected with Barry at The Marian Manor when I sang there. Barry was a gentle soul and he will be missed. Be at peace, my friend.
