Ned, Thank you for finding us. We are absolutely crushed by this news. Betsy was one of the most vibrant, alive, curious and loving people we've known. You don't know how many people we've told about the night that we introduced you two and how happy we were when you married. The two of you hold a special place in our hearts and she will be greatly missed.

Dear Ned, My heartfelt condolonces to you. I was heartbroken yesterday when I heard of Betsy's passing. I have been her dental hygienist for years now. We would laugh and joke and tell stories during our appointment times. I feel as though I know you. She was a bright, beautiful woman. It was an pleasure to have know her. I'm so sorry. Dear Ned, Nancy, Linda, Jeff and Families:
I am so sorry for your tremendous and untimely loss. Betsy and I were neightbors for five years until third grade. We were so proud to both wear size two shoes when we were in second grade. I was so jealous when she told me that antidisestablishmentarianism was a word and she knew how to spell it!!! She was such a brilliant girl and so much fun. We remained close until she moved away before high school but we reconnected in Denver when she was at the University of Denver and afterwards. She came to my wedding and gave me a gorgeous purple wooden mirror which she had made incorporating into it dried flowers. She was my first friend from back east to hold my newborn son in 1974. We lost touch again until the Medfield High School Class of 1969's 40th reunion when I had the chance to sit with her and have a most enjoyable opportunity to get caught up with eachothers' lives. I am so sorry she had to fight such a horrible disease and that she has been taken away so prematurely. I select to believe that she is in heaven now, happily reuniting with your lovely parents. Meanwhile, my heart goes out to all of you. My husband, Bill MacGregor who is a few years older than I but who grew up in our neighborhood in Medfield and thus knew your family of course, sends his heartfelt condolences as well. God be with you all at this terrible time. Warmly, Liz Larkin Mantelli

Betsy I have gotten to know you through Ned. I know he misses you very much. And because he does, even though we never met, so do I. Rest in peace.
