ABELY, Brenda Conlon Age 92, of Sea Island, GA, formerly of Belmont and Osterville, died on June 13, 2023. Mrs. Abely was born in 1930 in Massachusetts. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1948. She attended Newton College of the Sacred Heart, in Newton, Massachusetts. Her loving husband, Joseph, predeceased her. Mrs. Abely is survived by two children, James and Karen; and by two grandchildren, Kimberly and Caroline. Mrs. Abely was an avid golfer. She had several holes-in-one. Mrs. Abely was a former member of the United States Senior Women's Golf Association and the Bay State Seniors Golf Association. She was a former member of the Wianno Club, the Oyster Harbors Club, the Old Town Club, and the Baltusrol Club. A Visitation will be held at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, on Saturday, June 24, from 9:15-10:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Foundation of the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia.
