CAROL IANNESSA Obituary

Iannessa, Carol Ann (Fitzmaurice) Of Brookline, formerly of Cambridge, died peacefully on July 30, 2015. Daughter of late Michael J. and Florence E. "Sis" (Carroll) Fitzmaurice. Beloved wife of the late Richard O. "Ike" Iannessa. Loving and devoted mother of Richard Scott and Jaime Marie Iannessa of Andover, MA. Proud "Nanny" of her precious grandchildren, Ava Victoria and Alexander Richard Iannessa of Andover, MA. Adored and cherished sister and aunt of Beth, Jim, James, Riley, Patrick, Brennan, and Molly Barry of West Roxbury, MA. Dear sister of Florence Blake of Moravia, NY, Mary Guisti of Bedford, MA. and the late Eileen DeSimone and Michael J. Fitzmaurice, Jr. Gracious sister-in-law of Margaret "Peggy" Fitzmaurice of Sagamore Beach, MA. Loving "Auntie" to many nieces and nephews. Longtime employee and treasured friend of the Kickham Family. Carol's warmth and kindness was extraordinary, and she will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know her. A special thank you to Dr. Suzanne Berlin, Ann Stewart, NP and the nurses and staff of "Yawkey 10" for their compassionate care and support. All are warmly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. Interment will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover. Visting hours will take place on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, NORTH ANDOVER, MA 01845. Carol was a lovely, kind and giving friend. She fought a long hard battle with such courage -- always greeting everyone with a warm smile. She will be missed by everyone who had the distinct pleasure of knowing her. Condolences are extended to the Iannessa family.

Carol was not only my Color Guard Captain, but also a family friend. To the whole Fitzmaurice and Iannessa family I send out my heartfelt condolences. Carol touched the hearts of many and will be truly missed
