CAROLE ANN GALLAGHER

GALLAGHER, Carole Ann (McGovern) Of Watertown and formerly of Somerville, passed away in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on September 22, 2022. Beloved wife of the late John Gallagher. Devoted mother of John E. Gallagher, II & his wife Kellie of Belmont and Anne-Courtney Isajewicz & her husband Major Peter Isajewicz U.S.M.C. stationed in South Korea. Cherished grandmother of Jack, Sean, Owen & Ryan Gallagher and Anastasia, Madeleine & Peter Isajewicz. Daughter of the late Frederick McGovern and Anastasia (Sullivan) McGovern of Somerville. Sister of the late Mary O'Brien, Patricia, Frederick, and Kevin McGovern. Carole was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of '58. Carole spent her early professional career with Connecticut Mutual Insurance as an executive assistant. Later, while working for AT&T, she participated in the 1983 nationwide Telephone Workers strike, imparting the lesson to her children to never cross a picket line. After leaving the workforce, she devoted her time to raising her two children and volunteered for several parent-educational organizations at both B.C. High and Mt. Alvernia High School. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., WATERTOWN followed by Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 770 Mt.
