Of Braintree, formerly of Mission Hill, Jan. 13, 2007. Wife of the late George W. Flood. Loving mother of Margaret O'Brien and her husband Frank of Braintree, George E. Flood and his late wife Doris of Foxboro and the late Marietta Flood Thornton. Devoted sister of the late Maurice and John O'Brien. Dear grandmother of David, Kevin, Alan and Sean O'Brien, Lisa Roby, Scott Flood, Marietta Tisdale, Gary Flood and the late Mark Flood. Great grandmother of Shannon and Sean O'Brien, William Benson and Daniel Tisdale. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., BRAINTREE until 10 AM on Tuesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 550 Washington St., Quincy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 PM. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's name to the Marietta Flood Thornton Fund, MSPCA, c/o Angell Memorial Hospital, 350 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. So sorry to read about the recent loss of your mother, George. Betsy read it on line and just told me about it. Our mother died in 1980 and my husband, Brian just passed away.
