Catherine McDuffie Obituary

96, of Andover died at her home on October 11, 2007. She was born in Boston the daughter of the late John and Annette (Cuneo) Necco. She received her R.N. from Boston City Hospital and later graduated with her B.S. Degree and Masters Degree from Boston University in Nursing, and was a retired Captain in the United States Public Health Service. Catherine was the wife of the late Daniel B. McDuffie III and is survived by her son Daniel B. McDuffie IV of Andover, her grandchildren Daniel B. McDuffie V and his wife Ann of North Andover, and Christina (McDuffie) Shultz and her husband Michael of Columbus, OH, her great grandchildren Brenna and Hannah McDuffie and Jacob and Eva Shultz as well as her foster-grandchildren Jeanne (Roper) Thompson and her husband Dwain of Quincy and their son Vincent and Loretta (Roper) DeMarco and her husband Robert of Derry, NH and their sons Ryan and Michael. She was also survived by several very loving nieces and one nephew and predeceased by her brothers John Necco Jr and Edward Necco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday 10:30 AM at St. Augustine's Church in Andover. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepluchre Cemetery in North Andover. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 6 to 9 PM and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 9 PM at the Dewhirst and Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, ANDOVER, MA 01810. Memorial contributions may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
