Of Needham and West Yarmouth, March 14. Beloved husband of Ann M. (McDonough) Schofield for 52 years. Devoted father of Charles M. Schofield Jr. and his wife Mary of Medway, Susan Shortsleeve and her husband John of Boxford, Peter Schofield and his wife Annette of Gloucester RI, Paul Schofield and his wife Lori of Dedham, Mark Schofield of Williamstown, David Schofield and his wife Michelle of Millis. Grandfather of Christopher & Joseph Shortsleeve of Boxford, Charles & Brian Schofield of Medway, Keegan & Cody Schofield of Dedham, Catherine Schofield of Gloucester RI, Madison & Julia Schofield of Millis. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., (Exit 19B off Rt. 128) NEEDHAM, Thursday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomews Church, Needham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment, Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Charles' memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, 02140. Late retired Sales Executive, US Steel and District Mgr. of Alcan Aluminum. WWII, Navy veteran. Past Commander of the Needham VFW, Lt. Manson H. Carter Post #2498.
