Mr Ezickson, you were my 5th grade teacher. I was a shy little black girl and you made me feel important. I just found out you were a professor at Curry for 17 years and I will be graduate at Curry College with my BSN. I'll never forget you.

I had the great fortune of being his student in the 4th grade at Willard. It was my favorite year because of Mr. Ezickson. He touched the lives of so many people. A greater man I never met. Rest in Peace.

Ruth and Family:
I was very sorry to learn of the passing of David. He was a gifted teacher and a credit to the profession!

He and I worked together for a number of years at Curry College and from time-to-time would bump into each other
(usually, I must admit, near the "munchies" aisle at Stop & Shop.)

Always a story, yes? Always something to discuss, solve, resolve, and - in the end - often to smile about for a time.

I shall also miss David.
God bless.

I just learned of your dad's death a few minutes ago doron..i am SO SORRY! what a kind, loving, sweet, and caring man he was. he was a "mensch" in the truest meaning of that special word...what i remember about him most was when i was over kelly and doron's house and he was there, he would always engage me in conversation and he would ACTULLY LISTEN to what i was saying....he cared. he was truly interested. he was always observing. he was just a great man who will be missed as evidenced by the remarkable comments i just read about him on this page.

while im sure you are in much pain now doron, as the days turn to months and years, i know u will have such great memories of your loving father. while to many around town he was this super guy, super teacher, and "mr E", to you he was your DAD and i know how much you loved and admired him.

to kelly, one of my dearest friends...i know how much you too loved and admired your father in law. what was not to love, right? plus i always knew how much you appreciated him for taking you in and accepting you just like a daugther when you and doron got married many years ago...i know you too, will have great memories of david as the years go on and im so glad your kids got to know their granddad as well.

miss and love you both and i again, my deepest condolences during this difficult time...love, ed hyman

David was one of the most vibrant people I've ever known. It was a joy to be in his presence at Thanksgiving dinners year after year, as part of the extended Ezickson family. What a smart, engaged man and good man.

I was saddened to learn of Dave Ezickson's passing. I knew him in the 1960s from the Quincy Jewish Community Center. He hired me as an assistant swimming instructor at Grossman Camp. I admired Dave's dedication and work ethic and loved his sense of humor. Dave had a great laugh. When he laughed he made you want to laugh with him.

I hadn't seen Dave for many years and then did see him when I accompanied my mother to a meeting of the Quincy Jewish Committee. I had an opportunity to tell him that I had gone into the inter-group relations field and that I was director of the Brookline Human Relations Commission. I was pleased that he was pleased and told him that he had been an inspiration to me.

My condolences to his entire family and may God comfort them among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Mr. E was one of the smartest teachers I have ever known. The way he taught his students was exceptional from his science studies to the Discovery Zone. I will never forget my memories that I have of being a child in his fun filled classroom. Opening my mind to so many interesting and exciting things. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

Mr E was an incredible teacher. He was my 6th grade teacher in 1984. I recently saw Mr E, at the Quincy Library, about 3 yrs ago. To my surprise he remember who I was, my name and he also asked about my younger brother that he also taught years earlier. He truly was a great man, husband, father and teacher. He will be remember as my all time favorite teacher! Thank-you for being such a wonderful part of my childhood. May he rest in Peace!

Mrs. Ezickson & Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. Mr.E was one of THE best teachers in the world. He was my fifth grade teacher (back in 1973/74), my most favorite! His love of teaching was evident throughout his 40+ years of educating children. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Teaching should be such that what is offered is perceived as a valuable gift and not a hard duty." Mr. E's attitude and passion for teaching certainly lived up to these words. He will always be missed, but never forgotten.

Mr. E was by far the greatest teacher I have ever had. I was his student at Daniel Webster for 5th grade but I still would see him regularly through high school since his home was not too far from my own. He always remembered me and would stop and chat anytime I walked by. He had a contagious smile and like most people that know him, I will always remember him as one of the greatest people I have ever met. No matter what he was doing he would stop to catch up, check on my grades, my home life, etc... He really cared about his students and it showed. So sad to hear that he has passed, my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

I had Mr E. in the fifth grade 21 years ago. I (along with MANY others, i'm sure) have always remembered him. He was by far the best teacher I have ever had. I recently drove past the house I knew where he & his wife lived & wondered how Mr E was doing. I remember as a kid, a couple years out of 5th grade, walking past his house where he was outside tending his garden. He always had this gentle way about him.. I'm so sad to hear of his passing, & wish to pass along my condolences to his family.

After so many years, I still remember Mr. E as one of my most memorable teachers. Not only did I have the pleasure of having him as my teacher but was in his class the year the Discovery Room was put together and opened. I missed my entire 4th grade year due to a serious surgery and Mr. E had me feel so much better about myself that 5th grade year because he pushed me to my abilities. He was a unique teacher with so much love and creativity with pure love for his life career. I, along with so many others, will miss him dearly.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Mr. E was an amazing teacher. I had him in 1992 at Point Webster. I my yearbook next to his picture it says "Mr. E has always given his students a feeling of self-worth and has tried to open up the world of science to them. His innovation, the Discovery Room is just one example of how he tries to do this. Many students have enjoyed the variety of programs presented this year. In his free time, Mr. E enjoys working with plants, making jewelry and working with clay. He also plays tennis and basketball, but, with out a doubt, his most favorite activity has been being able to teach - all twenty two years." I have many great memories from being a student in his class and his love of teaching made me love learning.
