DAVID MCADAM FLEMING

FLEMING, David McAdam Of Weston, MA, died on April 6, 2024 at age 52. He leaves his beloved wife, Kara Harris Fleming; and son, Daniel Moore Fleming of Weston; his son, Aidan Llewelyn Fleming of Burlington, VT; his mother, Nancy McAdam Fleming, formerly of Weston and Sunapee, NH and now in Exeter, NH; and his brother, Timothy Crozier Fleming and partner, Dr. Katherine Pease of Los Angeles. David's beloved father, Samuel Crozier Fleming of Weston and Sunapee, NH, predeceased him. When David was a student at The Fessenden School in Newton, he began writing both poetry and stories, which were published in the school literary magazine. He subsequently attended Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, MA (now The Governor's Academy) and Weston High School, before graduating from Wheaton College in Norton, MA, as a member of one of the first co-ed classes. He was baptized at Trinity Church Boston, volunteered in their nursery and also served as an acolyte. At Wheaton, David majored in English and dramatic literature. Although David worked with his father at Decision Resources Inc. in Waltham, MA, he left to spend full-time writing. His first book, "Miss Mouse's House" was a colorfully illustrated poem about a young boy's dream. His first novel, "Saturday Boy" is still being enjoyed by older children. David also was published in Monkeybicycle, Stuff Magazine, Wellesley/Weston Magazine and beattoapulo.com Burial will be private. He will be sorely missed by his extended family, friends and his dog, Hap.
