David Galgay Obituary

Of Newton, formerly of Cambridge died, after a brief illness, Sept. 18th, 2005. Devoted husband of Mary C. (Mahoney). Father of Marybeth Haynes & her husband Robert of Medford; David Jr. & his wife Sharon of Portland, ME; Christopher & his wife Lisa of Turner, ME; Brian of Alexandria, VA; Joseph of Brewster; John & his wife Andrea of Cranston, RI; Patrick & his wife Aline of Westerlo, NY; and Erin C. of Newton. Brother of William, James, George, Rosemary Lowrie, the late Frank and John. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Joe, Kevin, Michael, Brandon, Victoria and Catherine. Visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Thursday 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Late WW II Army veteran. In David's memory donations may be made to Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. Mrs. Galgay, You have my deepest sympathy, and you are in my prayers. I worked with David for a short time at Stop and Shop, and David was a delightful person. He was always smiling, to the point that it was infectous. He will be deeply missed and the store is missing him on a daily basis. Best wishes.
