DAVID ISENBERG Obituary

ISENBERG, David J. Of Marblehead, formerly of Lexington and Dorchester on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 after a lengthy illness. David was born in Dorchester on May 25, 1932 and was the son of the late Isaac and Rose Isenberg. He had six brothers and sisters, Louis Isenberg, Robert Isenberg, the late Jean Smith, the late Henry Isenberg, the late Paul Isenberg and the late Charlotte Pierce. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired owner of a small technology services business. He was an avid sailor and had a sailboat in Marblehead Harbor for more than 45 years.He was the loving father of two children, Susan Isenberg and the late Richard Isenberg.For the last 26 years he shared life's adventures with his best friend and beloved partner, Dawn Ehrlich. He had very special relationships with Dawn's sons, Greg and Louis Ehrlich and their wives, Susan and Maria and his son-in-law, Roger Pelliciotti. He was the proud grandfather of Sam, Max, Lauren, Jenna and Hannnah Ehrlich and Jack, William and Luke Pelliciotti. He maintained close relationships with his siblings and their spouses throughout his life and he adored his many nieces, nephews,grandniecesand grandnephews. Services will be private but friends and relatives are invited to share memories of David on Friday at 1:00pm at the Clubhouse at the Village of Vinnin Square, 200 Loring Hills Avenue, Salem. Shiva will be observed at his home beginning Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 1:00pm.. I had the honor of meeting & growing to love & admire David & his huge extended family when I was at The Bertram House.His knowledge was vast and with the family's support he combined it with great fortitude & a wonderful sense of humor, despite his physical challenges. Life is precious...David fought his battle with honour and dignity right to the end. My sympathy to my best friend Dawn, Susan and Roger, June, Ritchie, all their children and grandchildren. Wish I could be with all of you at this very sad time in your lives.
