I stumbled upon this page going down memory lane and wanted to say that I spent 5 horrible and traumatic years as a student at Winsor in the early 1980's, but Mrs. Bezan was one of the few people that was truly kind to me. I am now in my mid 40's, but will remember her always for her warmth and compassion during that difficult time. She was a truly wonderful human being.

Dear Allan,
I am so glad you came the the Red Pheasant tonight. I have many memories of Diane over the years, she was full of the zest of life and you two always were so happy and in love. I did not know she was a mother, a teacher, a grandmother. I did know she loved you with all her heart, I loved seeing you together and when she was sick how you cared for her. What more can we ask than love like that. Time is arbitrary. Love is not. I send you love and blessings that memories will always keep Diane close in your life. Denise

Dr. Bezan -
I was such a fan of Mrs. Bezan and will cherish my memories of spending time with both of you (at the Cape, family functions, etc.) forever.
I'm sure she and my mother are having a great time drinking cocktails and catching up -

Mrs. Bezan was the first person who made me feel like I could be good at math. I will remember her patience and kindness forever.

To Diane's family:
I went to high school with Diane and we got to be good friends. Unfortunately, we lost contact after high school, but when I read her obituary and the many tributes to her, I recognized the Diane I knew back then. I always knew she would do well and would end up being a mentor and role model to others. My deepest sympathies in your loss of a devoted, gentle and loving woman who I'm sure was the finest wife, mother, teacher, friend and mentor to you all. God bless you in the days and months ahead and know she is in a peaceful and glorious place.

Diane hired me at The Winsor School and she was my first connection to what turned out to be three of the most professionally rewarding years of my life. She was graceful, sophisticated, and sincere. I learned so much about working with people through observing her. She will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a student of Ms. Bezan's at Winsor. I remember her as a warm, intelligent woman with a big heart. Ms. Bezan not only was my math teacher and the head of the upper school, she also was a trustworthy friend who helped me navigate through both academic and personal obstacles. Ms. Bezan will be greatly missed and remain as such an inspiration to her students.
