Father Bill McIntire MM

Father Don Clifford has been a faithful and wonderful friend (and benefactor!) from the time (1984 to 1992) he was Pastor of my home parish, St. Joseph's in Hyde Park. He always welcomed me when I came back each year from my work as a Maryknoll missionary in Bangladesh. Fr. Clifford took good care of both my parents after they suffered strokes, and he concelebrated my Mother's requiem Mass at St. Joseph's in July 1990.
For many years, I stayed and had an overnight visit each August with Father Clifford at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Green Harbor, and after his retirement at his home in Plymouth. When I last talked with him on the telephone a few weeks ago, he was grateful for the good care he was being given at his home by his nephew Richard Clifford and other family members. Well done, good and faithful servant! May we meet again merrily in heaven! Father Bill McIntire, MM, Maryknoll, New York, November 30, 2022.

Had the honor of meeting Fr. Clifford at St Bonaventure Church in Plymouth. He was retired and still saying Mass. Always smiled and was kind. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed.

I knew Fr Clifford from his service at Sacred Heart Parish in Newton. I remember him as a quiet priest who served humbly. He served the parish which included our Sacred Heart School. He was kind to us, yet definitely would tell those of us who we´re talking during the liturgy t STOP TALKING. I was one of those talkers! God bless him for his patience and unassuming ways with 300+ chatty children. Unfortunately, our school closed in 1971 and some of us moved on from Sacred Heart. I am happy to have good memories of Fr Clifford...may his memory be a blessing in the hearts of those he served!
