Mr. Cripps you will be missed at Bunratty Tavern. It was always a joy when you came to visit, you were always a gentleman and are so happy that you took the time to tell us stories about your "Beautiful Bride" and about the history of what we now call Home.

i also had the privilege to work with Donald and Norma for 10 years at MF Charles. Those years I learned much from my old boss and many lessons have lasted into my 50s now. Thier laughter and love for each other and life will stay with me always.

Don, I have such great memories of working at MF Charles during my junior year of high school; I clearly recall marveling at all the pictures of your travels, displayed in Normas office at the back of the store. In recent years, I would see you at the Main Street Starbucks on occasion and enjoyed reminiscing with you about delivering the Sunday newspaper in the early 1970s, distributed from the space behind the store.
Ill miss seeing you around town in your Mercedes, always so dapper in your bow tie, blazer and white bucks.
RIP, Don.

Mr. Cripps - we will miss you sitting in your corner seat by the side entrance at the 8 a.m. Mass at St. Charles and your clear "AMEN." We will miss you at your seat at the bar at Tremonte and we will also miss seeing your distinctive car around town. You watched my five kids grow from babies to high school and college age at the 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Charles - with a greeting of "Good Morning Mother" before you learned my name. Thank you for your support of both the church and St. Charles School. Thank you your kindness to my father-in-law, another veteran - but an Air Force man. He joked with you that all the good looking guys joined another branch. He loved your car and the fact that, like him, you would never go to Mass unless you wore a blazer, a dress shirt and chinos. We so appreciated that you paid your respects at his wake. I realized that if my father (a Navy man like you) were alive, he would be your age. I was concerned to not see you at church in the last two weeks. But having observed your devotion to your wife from afar over the years, though I am sad that you have left us, I'm so happy that you are with her again.

I have many fond memories of Donald. I'll miss you at mass and the sight of you driving your yellow Mercedes. Rest in Peace. You are now along side your wife sipping martinis before dinner.

We have lost a wonderful friend, fountain of knowledge, voice of authority and most caring husband.
To have known and helped Norma and Don since 1965 has been a true pleasure with many fond memories of the creaking MF Charles store floor, stories on Florida, the MF Charles Building, his engagement interview by Norma's family, the fascinating pictures on their world wide travels, etc., etc..
May Donald join the love of life Norma, together with our Lord. Sincerely, Lee & Nancy McNelly
