DORIS LORENE "DOLLY" SCHANNEN

1953 - 2024

SCHANNEN, Doris Lorene "Dolly" Dolly age 71, of Wayland, died peacefully and comfortably, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, following a dignified and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Boston on July 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Richard Harold Schannen and Ruth Edna (Garrison) Schannen. Dolly is survived by her brother, William H. Schannen and his wife, Patricia E. Schannen of Carlisle. Aunt of Andrew P. Schannen, M.D. and his wife, Jennifer; and is great-aunt of their two children Dolly was a resident of Wayland for over 16 years and previously resided in Wellesley and Lynnfield. She was a graduate of Lynnfield High School and received her BS in Physical Therapy from Boston University. In 2011, she retired after a long and dedicated career as a Physical Therapist with Brigham and Women's Hospital. At the request of her family, there will be no funeral home visitations. Graveside Services will be held on November 26, 2024, at 11:00 o'clock, at the Schannen family lot, in Lakeview Cemetery, 80 Commonwealth Rd. (Rte 30), Wayland. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests that gifts in Dolly's memory may be sent to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the John C.
