DUNCAN P. ASPINWALL

1934 - 2022

ASPINWALL, Duncan P. Born 1934, Barrington, IL. Died September 23, Hanover, NH. Duncan graduated from Lehigh University in 1956. He married Dorothy Dean after college, was stationed in Germany in the Army, and later worked in Boston. They raised three boys in Westwood, MA and retired to Falmouth, MA before moving to Hanover, NH, where they spent their last years. He was known for his impeccable integrity. As a friend put it, "at various times he was treasurer of everything in Woods Hole… occasionally, all of them simultaneously. We will miss knowing he isn't around to keep the rest of us in line." Duncan loved to fly and build small boats and spend time at his camp in Maine. He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his three sons and eight grandchildren. His ashes will be interred with Dorothy's at the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole, MA.
