She travelled extensively, including throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and many islands. She especially loved Aruba, which she visited 52 times, calling it her "happy island." A faithful reader of the Boston Globe and the Lynn Item, Eleanor kept up with news, passionately followed sports, cheering on her Boston teams and enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles. She also loved sitting in the sun on her patio, admiring her flowers. Most of all, "Ellie" enjoyed spending time with family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, the heart and center of our family, and was much loved and will be greatly missed.
