AVRATIN, Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" (Cohen) Of Bridgewater. Entered into rest January 1, 2013 at the age of 72 years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Michael Avratin. Devoted mother of Paul Avratin and his wife Elaine of TN, Gary Avratin and his wife Tracy of Sharon, Adam Avratin of Falmouth. Loving sister of Matthew Cohen of Yarmouth. Cherished Nani of Ashley Carter, Amanda Avratin, Jacob Avratin, Max Avratin, Alyssa Avratin, Emma Avratin and Halle Avratin. Also a beloved friend to many. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Susan G. To Mike and family: I was shocked and saddened by your wife's passing. I remember her so well, and how beautiful inside and out she was and more. I had the opportunity to work with Mike and his colleagues years ago at Wellesley Office Park, and I remember to this day how she would come into the office and speak to me and was so upbeat and lovely. Although, it was many years ago, still touches us all today, as well as recent deaths in my family. Thoughts and prayers go out to Mike and his family at this time. To Adam, Mr. Avratin, and the rest of your family: It's always tough losing a parent/wife. I recently lost my dad so I know.
What I also know is that life has one direction... Forward. They only put reverse in cars so don't look back. She is resting now so that you all can rest. God bless her and your entire family.

I will always remember Mrs Avratin with great fondness and love. She always made me feel welcomed and at home at a time in my life when I had first left home after college and was admittedly a little homesick. Although we didn't see all of you everyday,each time we met on the Vineyard, Betsy always made us feel like a close friend. I know you have known me longer than I have known you growing up on the harbor in Oak Bluffs. dear family, Betsy was with out a doubt the most beautiful human...not just
on the outside, but on the inside where it counted the most. She was kind
sweet, caring,funny, fun to be with, and very brave...i cant think of anyone
braver...no matter that she had this horrible illness, she went forward without ever missing a beat.she never complained and she was strong for everyone.I will miss having her in my life, but i know she is up there, sitting
