Ellen has had a profound affect on my life, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know her and learn from her. She has inspired me to share to others about the incredible grace of God. I will miss our email letters back and forth and look forward to seeing her in glory. My heart goes out to her family. I just learned of her passing right now unfortunately, and would have liked to be there to celebrate her life last week.

A few days before Ellen's return to her real home, I had read these lyrics from a song called, As Long As I'm Here by Brandon Heath. (link to song below) The first 4 lines made me think so much about Ellen.
Someday I'll pass to the great sky above
And the first think I'll ask, is how well did I love?
Did I leave the world any better than it was before?
Of all the things I've done, could I have done anymore?
If I were to answer those questions about Ellen, I would say that she loved more people than any person I know personally. She put so much thoughtful time and prayer and compassion into everyone she came in contact with and that was only in my observation once a week for a couple of years. I saw how much love she put into the letters and mailings for the radio ministry, not to even mention the phone calls and prayers I never saw her make.
Did she leave the world any better than it was before? I'm sure everyone she came in contact with was touched by her in some way. She was always looking for a way to share the love of Jesus with anyone even while she was in pain even with all the nurses and doctors she had.
And I really don't think she could have done anymore. I don't know how she kept up with everyone like she did. Even when I saw her in hospice, she was asking me about me and my life and how was my family. And she always signed a card or note to me with you are loved. That's love being other-centered giving all the time. She knew she was a child of the Most High God and King. She knew she was loved, too. She was a true Princess. I look forward to seeing her again.
