Died suddenly at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge on February 13, 2007, at age 97, after a brief illness. Lifelong resident of East Cambridge and former member of St. Hedwig and Sacred Heart Churches. Devoted wife of the late William J. Mullen. Sister of the late Walter Podeiko of Weymouth, MA. Mother of Dorothy V. Clark of Malden, MA and Marilyn E. Nesbit of Ketchum, ID. Grandmother of Deborah Lancaster of West Bridgewater, MA, John Clark of Tyngsborough, MA and Joyce McElwee of Milwaukee, WI. Great grandmother of Jason Manhart of Brockton, MA, Jeffrey Manhart of Turnersville, NJ, Scott Lancaster of Richmond, VA, William, Patrick and Casey McElwee, all of Milwaukee, WI, Michael and Jennifer Clark of Tyngsborough, MA. Great-great grandmother of Isaiah and Selena Manhart of Brockton, MA. Funeral from the Donovan-Aufiero Funeral Home, 140 Otis Street, (at 6th St.) EAST CAMBRIDGE Thursday at 10 AM followed by a Rite of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Church, Cambridge at 11 AM. Visiting Tuesday and Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Former employee of the Union Oyster House Restaurant in Boston for more than 40 years.
