Frank, I often think of you, your laughter, wit, and candid honest opinion. I was thinking of throwing out my hockey equipment. I wonder what you'd say to that ? Back has been flaring up, again, knee & hip issue, shoulder hurts, and I havented skated in years.. my hockey days actually came to an end when you left us at the rink. They say we live in spirit and by remember someone & sharing stories it keeps us alive. Miss you my friend.

Tuesday night hockey and Sunday mornings, hanging around Coolidge Square in East Watertown, is no longer the same since Frank's passing. I often look up...wishing that Frank, as he usually always did, would be walking around the corner from Bigelow Avenue onto Mt. Auburn Street. A little piece of ALL of us, who knew Frank, has died with in ourselves the day that Frank passed. However, Heaven gained a great, dedicated "pick-up" hockey player.

Duck- I don’t even know where to start but I do know that you will be missed so much. It is hard to believe that I will never see your blue jeep parked outside of my parent’s house because you are just stopping by to check in. You have been such an amazing friend to not only my dad for so many years but to my entire family. You are family to us. You have been at every event in me and my sister lives and it will never be the same now that you are gone. It doesn’t seem fair that your life has ended like this – but one thing for sure is that my grandfathers must be so happy to have you with them again telling stories for hours like the old days! I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me and for my family. I have so many great memories that I will hold on to forever. Your truly are one of a kind! We love you Duck – and miss you so much!

Duck, my second father. I am going to miss you coming over late at night just to say hello or use our bathroom, playing street hockey outside, taking me into Boston on sunday afternoons to eat some chowder, or even just walking around Castle Island with my dad. I loved when you came to watch me play baseball down Vic with my dad even on days where the heat was unbearable. You always took me under your wing even when I saw you walking around town you would always buy me something to eat even though I said "no thanks" countless times. My favorite memory is when we went to my hockey tournament in Springfield I was glad you came then and we all know you enjoyed yourself and had a great time. You made the best out of every situation. I'm going to miss you dearly, and thank you for all you've done and for teaching me everything I know today.

Duck, life will never be the same without my Godfather! I will miss you very much. The memories I will always cherish. From the countless Bruins games, picking Jen and I up to go to the movies, Christmas time when I was a little kid always looking forward to Duck coming over, Friday night hockey and many birthdays. I always looked forward to spending time with you. It always meant that there was never a dull moment and the stories would fly. Life goes on, but life will never be the same without you. I love you very much!

Duck, You have left an empty void in my heart today. I will always think of your big hand extending my way with the ALWAYS A PLEASURE PAL/ greeting whenever we saw each other. You were everything I would have wanted in a second brother, which I always considered you with Billy anyway. The east end of Watertown has lost a special brother by which the turnout for your family on these very sad days has shown. What a special guy you truly were.. YOU will be missed but never forgotten... Love Joe & Sandie Heuston

To the DeVincentis family: I am deeply saddened to hear of Duck's death. He was a great guy, someone you could count on, and had a great outlook on life. No matter how we knew him: Duck, Duckie, Frank, or Falco, he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. May he rest in peace.

March 17, 2007

I was so sorry to hear the passing of Frank "Ducky". Duck was a genuine person. He always knew what to say under any situation. He was so well liked by everyone who knew him. I will always treasure the fond memories we shared on and off the ice. Watertown Rink, Coolidge Square, and Frank's Circle of Friends, will never be the same and we can never fill the void in our lives or find any relief from Frank's passing. The irony is that Frank would not want us to feel any sorrow over him. My life around town and Tuesday nights at the Watertown Rink will be affected for life. I will truly miss his smile, witt, and offering his kind words. My thoughts, and the thoughs of many, are with you at this time of sorrow.

There are no words to express the loss we are all feeling. Duck was one of a kind. There will never be another one like him. He was and always will be in our hearts. His dedication, hard work and commitment helped make B&G sheet metal what it is today. We will miss his gentle smile and kind ways every day for the rest of our lives.

To the whole DeVincentis Family,

You know, as well as I do, what a special man Duck was to everyone who knew him. With his everlasting sense of humor and his warm smile, he could make you feel "up" even when you were "down". Duck was part of my extended family and has been like another brother to my Dad- Bill Heuston. He will be sorely missed by myself and my family. May God take him home with welcoming arms. He is definitely "angel" material.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of "Duck." He was a very close friend of my father, Joseph Heuston, and Uncle, Billy Heuston, and friend of mine as well. I would see him at the various gatherings and enjoyed talking to him. He always had a smile on his face and had such a good nature. I always used to tell him that there was a very lucky woman out there that he just hadn't found. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this difficult time.

To the DeVincentis Family,
I was very lucky to have enjoyed playing hockey with Duckie for the last 25 years - and the added benefit of him almost always being on my team. Duckie and I were fortunate enough to have shared our love of the game. We both agreed that we would rather be playing at the rink on tuesday nights than watching even the Bruins play. His great personality and sense of humor made him a leader of the group. I was deeply saddened to learn that he will no longer be with us on the ice, but I am sure his memories will stay with us a lifetime. My deepest sympathy to all of you and may you all continue on knowing that your lives have been made more complete having had Duckie as a part of it.

I think I can speak for all the regulars at the Ryan Area that “Ducky” will be missed dearly. It was truly a place where “everybody knew HIS name.” Personally I will never forget our conversations on the bench, the jokes in the locker room, and the smile he put on everyone’s face.
